Introduction

Around 1290, the famous Count Floris V of Holland was working hard to expand his power. Together with the cities, he tried to push back the power of the lower nobles and thus strengthen his grip on the territory of the county of Holland. One of the victims was Hardbern of Haastrecht.

Physical Description

Parchment charter. A piece has been torn off at the top. The seal and the seal tail have disappeared, but traces of the seal are visible in the ‘pliek’.
